    Awarded to those who have displayed distinguished achievements in experiments and research, analysis, development, diffusion and education regarding ceramics science and technology.

Ceramics Grand Prize

The Ceramics Grand Prize is presented to individuals in recognition of their original and innovative achievements for inventions, development, or practical applications in the ceramics industry, or discoveries related to the science and technology of ceramics.

Society Activities Merit Award

The Society Activity Merit Award is given to individuals in recognition of their distinguished contributions to the operations, work and other activities of the Ceramic Society of Japan.

Joint Japan-Australia Ceramics Award

The Joint Japan-Australia Ceramics Award is given to a selected ceramist under 40 years of age who, during short-term research or study, has contributed to the science and technology of, or contributed internationally to, ceramics, or has excelled in a combination of these activities. The Ceramic Society of Japan selects the recipient of the award from among the recipients of the Progress Award of the last 3 years.

International Exchange Encouragement Award

The purpose of the International Exchange Encouragement Award is to encourage international collaboration by young researchers.

CerSJ Fellow Awards

The CerSJ Fellow Awards are granted by the Society to individual members who have made outstanding achievements in the field of ceramics through continuous activities within the Society.

The objectives of awarding members the title of CerSJ Fellow are to encourage recipients to continue to pursue activities as persons who are suitable to represent the Society; to inspire them to increase their participation in the activities of the Society; and to engender development of the ceramics field across a broad range.
